We, as special educators, need to get creative when providing learning materials to students on our caseload. I am here to teach you a straightforward trick to email smaller files of worksheets to parents during distance learning. This is great if you find an online file from a place such as Teachers Pay Teachers, but you don’t want to send the parent a 50-page file. You may email my resources specifically to parents during this distance learning time. Please do not share with other teachers. While this is my revised terms of use during distance learning, it is essential to reach out to the TpT seller to ensure it is okay to do this.
Without further ado, here are the steps to creating a smaller file from a pdf.
- Open the pdf in adobe.
- Select “file,” then “print.”
- Change your printer to “Microsoft Print to Pdf” (sometimes the wording is slightly different)
- Under “pages to print,” select the pages you want to be saved in the new file.
- Select “print.”
- Your computer will prompt you to save the file under a new name.
- Your smaller file is now saved to your computer!
